Boston’s Animal Talks Announces Pet Grief Workshops

Boston-based non-profit Animal Talks is a leader in the emerging field of Pet Grief, the body and mind’s response to the death of a deeply loved pet. (You can read news coverage about the organization here.)

This month and in February, Animal Talks is offering two 90-minute Zoom workshops on the Basics of Pet Grief Counseling. The workshops can help you or someone you know process the loss of a beloved pet, and help you earn certification as a Pet Grief Counselor if you’d like to take that step. If you’re interested in continuing on to certification, Animal Talks will follow up with you on relevant books, articles and requirements.

Workshop: Basics of Pet Grief Counseling

Registration Fee: $125

Dates/Times: 2:00-3:30pm ET, January 21 and February 4

Registration: www.animaltalksinc.com/workshops

Workshop Leader: The Reverend Kaleel Sakakeeny, ordained Animal Chaplain and Credentialed Pet Loss and Bereavement Counselor. Rev K also is certified in Reiki, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and Animal Communication, which helps him tremendously in his work with people and animals. Rev K specializes in grief and sorrow counseling for those who have lost their pet to death. He especially loves working with small groups in workshops, schools, community centers and churches – talking about the beautiful bond between people and their animals.

Workshop Preparation: Animal Talks recommends reading their eBook – A Journey Through Pet Loss: For When Our Animal Companions Leave Us – before you do the workshop. They also ask each participant to post a picture of your pet with a few words of tribute at animaltalksinc.com/petpage
