Have you ever wandered through Harvard Square and thought about all the learning and history that have happened along those cobblestone sidewalks? (Don’t do it in heels or your next stop could be a visit to Mount Auburn Hospital down the street.)
It’s easy to become a part of it, at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education. Since 1870 the non-profit CCAE has offered a variety of educational programs in areas including arts and crafts, literature, cooking, business and technology, print making, jewelry (we might have to sign up for one of those) humanities and languages. In addition to classes that run for several weeks, the CCAE offers one-day or night events including master classes, lectures, poetry and prose readings, and social events.
You can enroll for online classes now, and the school plans to re-open for onsite classes in early May.
Prices range from to $50 to $500; some classes have an additional materials fee.
