Brenda’s Book Nook?

That’s probably not the name we’d use, but…

I’ve been noticing at the ends of some books on Kindle, there’ll be great questions for a book club to discuss. I don’t belong to a book club, so I have to ask around if anyone else read the book, and what did they think.

So, it was a happy day when our wonderful Arts & Culture Editor Joan Kirschner had the idea to consider starting our own book club for BrendaAfterSixty!

We’d offer ideas for books that might appeal to you, and make sure the ones we choose are available at local libraries or on our devices, and then we’d meet online one evening to chat about that month’s book.

We’re thinking it might be a good idea to start in late September, when we’re all back from the beach and summer travels.

What do you think?

XO Brenda

P.S. Joan – Did I get this right?

Great idea. I’d like to suggest my upcoming novel The Path Beneath Her Feet coming out in September. Main character is a woman doctor in the 1930s and 40s. Partially set in Boston. Main character is 57-67 in the book. I’d be happy to join for an author chat too. The book also has discussion questions at the back and a more complete book club kit will be on my website with recipes, etc.
