Strong Women in Renaissance Italy, September 9–January 7, 2024, at the Museum of Fine Arts, 465 Huntington Avenue, Boston: When you think about Renaissance Italy, do the names Sofonisba Anguissola, Isabella d’Este, or Lavinia Fontana ring a bell? These women, and many others whose names we may never know – artists, writers, patrons, entrepreneurs, healers, nuns, teachers, and more – influenced their time much more than history has generally recognized (what a shock). Through more than 100 works from the 14th to the early 17th century, this exhibition explores the lives and experiences of women in Renaissance Italy and offers new perspectives on female creativity, power, and agency. Museum admission is $27 per person, free for members. Learn more here
Vibrational Healing Meditation with Tibetan Singing Bowls, September 11, 6:30pm-7:30pm, at Healing with Spirit, 185 Lincoln Street, Hingham: Tibetan Singing Bowls have been used by Tibetan monks for centuries for healing and meditation. The bowls create a range of sounds to restore the normal vibratory frequencies of diseased and out-of-harmony parts of the body, mind and soul. They can stimulate a profound relaxation response that bypasses the brain and targets the cellular tissues directly inviting powerful positive quantum shifts into your body, mind, spirit and life. Registration is $25 per person. Learn more here

Such diverse options! That MFA exhibit sounds great… The Stolen Lady by Laura Morelli might be a good fiction choice to accompany a visit to the exhibition.
